Appendix: Modbus RTU Protocol Operation
Connection to X5000 transmitter:
| • | The 2-Wire RS485 connection terminal is shown to the left of the HART connection |
| • | Connection wire must be Low Capacitance, Shielded data cable, 100-120 Ohm impedance. 1000 feet or 300 meters maximum distance. |
Baud Rate
The baud rate is selectable via the Modbus Communications Interface. The selectable baud rates are as follows:
