The Rain Guard is not performance approved. The FL500 is not performance approved with the Rain Guard in place. |

Use of the Rain Guard limits the vertical field of view. Refer to Field of View for information on reduction in the field of view and account for this in your application. |

Install the Rain Guard in accordance with the instructions in Section Installing the Rain Guard. Improper installation or use of a Rain Guard other than the one noted below may result in a different and/or larger reduction in the field of view than detailed in Field of View. |

Installing the Rain Guard
|

1.
|
Before assembling the Rain Guard to the flame detector, place the clamp into the mating groove of the rain guard. |
|
2.
|
Slide the Rain Guard/clamp over the face of the FL500. |
NOTE: The center arrow must align with the center fin feature of the front housing. See figure at left.
|
3.
|
Tighten the hose clamp with a torque driver to 22 in-lb (2.5 N-m). |
